Inspired by the North American group rides I have been missing (Toronto’s Donut & Bagel, NYC’s Rocket and Triangle rides, Vancouver’s CAC Tuesdays, LA’s NOW & Nichols rides to name a few) I am inviting cyclists who find themselves in Nice and looking for a fast drop ride for riders with experience riding in a group to join us on Saturday mornings.

🗒️ Rules

  1. This is a drop ride. Be sure to have your own repair kit/tools, and know the route (Strava link and GPX files above 👆).
  2. Everyone who’s attending knows the rules of road cycling in a group.
  3. We ride on open roads so traffic laws must be strictly adhered to.
  4. Everyone is riding at their own risk and takes responsibility for themselves and their equipment.
  5. Everyone is riding a fully functioning road bike with two brakes, gears and no aerobars.
  6. Ride safely. Even if we are biking “race pace” this is not a race. Risky riding will not be tolerated. There are no prizes. 🚨Take the descent through Duranus easy🚨 ****and stay on the far right side of the road.
  7. Follow ride leader(s) instructions. Those who neglect the rules can be excluded from the Nicest ride. This is about safety and not exclusivity.

⏰ Ride Notes

→ At a roundabout just over 20 km in we switch temporarily from the road to a bike path (bikes are not allowed on the road at this point). 👇

→ When we cross a bridge at km 31, followed by train tracks, turn RIGHT, then at the next roundabout do a 180. Do not turn left directly (even if dropped)! This is dangerous and illegal.
